Paper-works* is an artist led enterprise in Lowestoft. We run a printmaking studio, engage in community
arts projects and run
Books and Prints, a bookshop and printmaking workshop on the Historic High Street.
Our aim is to facilitate and encourage the local creative community through the exploration of works on paper, from the printed word through to printmaking, drawing and photography. All with an emphasis on analogue, eco-friendly, and accessible technologies.
Membership is available for artists and printmakers who want to have access to the printmaking studio and become part of a mutually supportive printmaking community. It is aimed at all those who have a working knowledge of printmaking and are looking to develop new skills and  explore new areas of practice.Members include: Hilary Barry, Fliss Cary, Hugh Davies, Lisa Hurcum, Valerie Lindsell, Tessa Newcomb, Nina Roffey, Mandy Rogers,  Liz Taunt and Dom Theobold
The benefits of membership include
- Ability to book studio access time for a daily access fee  of £15 for 6 hours
- 10% discount on courses and workshops
- Ability to submit prints for sale within the online gallery
- Participation in paper-works* events
The annual membership fee is £20 which includes a 1 hour induction into the studio. The studio is equipped with a large etching/relief press, an adana 8×5, a wet area, a large work bench and views from the bay window out to sea.
